experiential design
Working at an exhibit design firm for 6 years allowed me to focus on a large three dimensional format. Working within the constraints of size, structure and time was always an interesting challenge.
TJX Distribution Center Rebrand
I led the redesign of interior environments across 11 TJX Companies distribution centers nationwide, with a focus on strengthening employee experience through culturally relevant, place-based design. The objective was to move beyond standardized corporate interiors and instead create spaces that reflect the identity and pride of each local community.
To inform the work, I traveled to every distribution center location, engaging directly with employees to better understand their regional culture, day-to-day challenges, and what would meaningfully improve their environment. These insights shaped a design approach that integrated local visual language, storytelling elements, and environmental enhancements—fostering a stronger sense of belonging while supporting morale, unity, and workplace safety.
Each facility became a distinct expression of its community, while still aligning with the broader TJX brand. The result was a cohesive yet highly personalized system of interiors that elevated the employee experience at scale.
On a personal note, immersing myself in each location’s culture—especially through its food—was an unexpected highlight, reinforcing the authenticity and depth of the connections that informed the final designs.
Design Resources Group Exhibit
Design Resources Group needed a booth to show off their green architecture methods. After a gentle persuasion I redesigned their logo for a more up to date look. Using photos of their jobs I designed this booth to help them stand out from the crowd.
Schindler Elevator Exhibit
Following Schindler’s strict graphic standards I designed the graphics for this award winning booth. Silver medal in the 2005 ADCNJ award competition for trade show exhibits.
Chubb Insurance Exhibit
Chubb Insurance needed a fun booth for a show they attended annually in California. I designed the logo which was then rolled out into all of the signage, collateral and clothing worn by the Chubb employees at the show.
Century Link Exhibit
Using the Century Link graphic standards and imagery I created this 10 foot wide back wall that integrates nature and the Century Link look and feel.
Lighting Services, Inc. Exhibit
This is an exhibit design for Lighting Services Inc. I designed the graphics using their installation imagery to highlight their product. I also designed the counter to complement the graphics. The horizontal angle of the break in the counter matches the horizontal line in the graphic. The graphic is printed on back lit material with a light box behind it to literally light the areas that are lit in the picture. The logo is also cut out of the blue panel material, filled with plexi glass and rear lit as well to make the whole booth glow.
MD Scope Exhibit
MD Scope needed a new graphic package for there existing structure. This is the 8’ version for use at their smaller tradeshows and exhibits.
